Our Baby Physiotherapy MOT is a comprehensive health check designed to assess your baby’s physical development and well-being. Suitable for newborns and infants up to 6 months, this thorough evaluation helps identify any early signs of movement, posture, or muscle tone issues.
Our experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist, will review the pregnancy and birth history, and any concerns you have before completing a full assessment of your baby. This includes assessing range of movement through all joints, muscle tone and movement patterns and screening for birth conditions such as foot deformities, head turn preference, flat head and hip dysplasia. The assessment will not cause any discomfort or distress to your baby.
The Physiotherapist will answer any questions you may have about your baby’s development and will provide helpful advice, and recommend tailored play-based activities or therapy if needed. If they feel that your baby would benefit from seeing another health care professional, they will signpost you as appropriate.
