Pelvic Girdle Pain in Pregnancy

Pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy (also known as PGP or SPD) is pain experienced across the pelvis, particularly over the bone at the front (pubic symphysis), lower back pain, discomfort in the perineum and possibly extending to the thighs. This can be due to your body changing through pregnancy, hormonal changes and muscle tension but stress, anxiety and lifestyle factors can play a part too.
